The Provost of the College of Education, University of Ghana, Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call to His Majesty Na Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, the 34th Paramount Chief of the Wala Traditional area in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 20th June, 2023, aimed to inform the Paramount Chief about the University's commitment to enhancing the Learning Centres in the regions, specifically the Wa Learning Centre, in the face of the growing competitive market environment.
During the meeting, His Majesty Na Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV expressed his appreciation for the visit and praised the University for its contribution to adult education in the country. He encouraged the College of Education, University of Ghana to focus on the improvement and sustainability of the Wa Learning Centre. The Paramount Chief was joined by other esteemed elders from the area.

The delegation from the University included Dr. Marshal Kala (Wa Learning Centre Coordinator); Mrs. Joycelyn Boateng (College Human Resource Officer); Ms. Dorinda Nbinmah Yeboah (Assistant Registrar – Provost’s Office); Ms. Agnes Baidoo (Assistant Registrar – Public Affairs Directorate) and Ms. Trinity Treve (Management Accountant). Also in attendance were; Mr. Prince Boateng Blay, Mr. Edward Opoku-Gyan, Alhaji Abdul-Rashid Mohammed, Mr. Peter Ayine, Mr. Abdul-Fatahu Adam, Mr. Nicholas Asamoah, Mr. Francis A. Quaning and Mr. Sumoferow Mustapha Suleman.
